It’s rare to actually discover a diamond in the rough.
Many people may believe they can - but in reality, it doesn’t happen very often.
We were fortunate enough to work with one, for 6 years.
Today, Will Brown is one of the world’s leading race car drivers.
A champion. World class - both on and off the track.
An overall winner of the V8 Supercars Championship - driving for the sport’s top team in Triple Eight Racing - who have produced the highest rated stars of the sport - a TCR race and championship winner … the list goes on.
However the road to that is long and can be unforgiving in a brutal sport.
We bagan working with Will when he was aged just 16.
A phone call between PLM and his parents began a long term partnership where we worked with a young guy, fresh out of go karts, to build his brand, his website and his image.
Will was ‘going places’ and companies and the right people needed to know about it.
For us, that was the easy part.
But what it also allowed Will to do, was just race. And win. And win he did.
Will went on to dominate in virtualy every class he raced in ..from open wheelers, to Toyota 86, to Bathurst class wins, to TCR champion and finally to Supercars where again, he now stands as the current overall drivers champion.
To compete and to race - let alone win - is not easy. It takes a remarkable amount of effort and dedication.
Will Brown is testament to showing that having the right people around you - both on - and importantly off the track as well - is essential to let you do what you do best … just race.
